Why We Built Godfrey Allure

Omri and I met in Hollywood — at a club, on a night when neither of us had any idea what was about to happen. I was dancing. He noticed. The attraction was immediate. We exchanged numbers before the night ended, and from that night on, we never stopped talking.
Then we built a life.
We got married. We raised two kids. We made a home in Los Angeles and spent years being a family first — watching old films on late nights, collecting antiques, developing a shared eye for the things we loved. The 1930s, the '40s, the '50s. The elegance of that era. The way jewelry was made to be worn and meant to last.
The idea for Godfrey Allure came out of that life. Not from a business plan, not from a market gap — from a simple, growing frustration that the jewelry we actually wanted didn't seem to exist. Pieces with real substance. Real weight. The kind of craftsmanship that carries something forward instead of expiring with the season.
So we decided to make it.
The Beginning
The beginning was harder than we expected.
We hired people because we thought they knew things we didn't. Some did. Others made promises they couldn't keep. We lost time, money, and confidence in the process.
Eventually, we stopped waiting for someone else to understand what we were trying to build. We took the work back. The website. The SEO. The marketing. The voice. We learned it ourselves.
What We Do Now
Everything you see at Godfrey Allure — we built it.
From the very beginning, Omri has been behind the camera. Photography was always one of his talents, and it has grown into something we are genuinely proud of. Every year the work gets sharper, more considered, more fully ours. What started as necessity has become one of the things that makes Godfrey Allure look like Godfrey Allure.
We produce the photoshoots ourselves — the styling, the wardrobe, the casting, the direction. We hire the talent. We run the set.
The jewelry is ours. The photography is ours. The Rivière necklaces, the pearl strands, the rings set with Allyure Stones™ — designed by us, photographed by us, brought to you by us.
This is not a large company with departments and budgets and specialists for every task. It is two people who love what they make and have chosen to own every part of it.
We are still growing. Still learning. And more certain than ever about what Godfrey Allure is becoming.
We built a life together first.
Then we built this.
— Minka and Omri
